Every business has a story to tell.

Kia ora, I'm Ruth, owner of Spotta Design, Darfield.

My journey to Spotta Design

Kia ora. Welcome to Spotta Design, a Digital Design Agency in Darfield, Canterbury. I'm Ruth Jennings, the owner, and I specialise in creating impactful designs for local businesses and schools, whether it's eye-catching logos, business branding, or search engine-optimised website creations.

My family and I have been members of the Darfield community for twelve years. I previously worked at Darfield High School as their Publications Administrator, or you may know me from Graphic Creative Solutions. My background in graphic design and a Diploma in Digital Marketing have equipped me to create custom design strategies tailored to your business goals, values, and target audiences. With a strong eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to think outside the box, and by using Adobe Creative Suite and staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, I offer my skills and expertise to other businesses in the local and surrounding Darfield community.

As a freelancer, I understand the challenges small businesses face today because I run a small business myself. I am part of a supportive local networking group that provides support and creates opportunities for my business by building connections and opportunities within my local community of Darfield. Additionally, I collaborate with local businesses and community groups.

Whether you need a stunning website, eye-catching graphics, or a comprehensive branding strategy, Spotta Design can bring your vision to life. Call me, and let's chat about exploring new horizons for your business branding, helping you stand out professionally across various platforms, and allowing you to focus on other aspects of your business.

What's in a name?

The inspiration for the name "Spotta Design" came from the game my family has played for years! The "Spotto" or "Spotta" car game is great for young children and long car trips. The object is to get the most points by "spotting" yellow vehicles, including cars, vans, motorbikes, diggers, and even aeroplanes!

The spottie must shout "Spotta!" first to get a point. We have extra points for yellow houses and classic VW Vans (I owned one many years ago, so they have a place in my heart!).

Always confirm a yellow Spotta sighting so others can verify, even if it means turning back. You can only call a Spotta once you see it (an important rule!).
